I am re-posting this old post on names as Gabe told me last night he didn't like any on our current list. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
So please, if you have any good names, that fit the profile, please, please, please let me know!
Names for Baby2
Becasue we can't call him/her Baby 2 forever, we are shortlisting some of our favorite names. Please add some goodies if you can think of any, but here are my requirements:
1. The name must be gender specific
2. When you hear it, you should know how to spell it, and when you see the name, you should know how to say it. And I like original spelling - nothing spelled 'funky' or 'new'. Just give me a good old basic name.
3. The name must be just that - a human name - not a car part, a fruit, or a day of the week. And nothing made up either.
4. I don't want anything too popular (I don't want this little one to go to kindergarted with 6 other people in the class with the same name)
5. It must go with Lanteigne (So Lilly Leila Lanteigne may sound nice, but it is out - she'd have to be a super hero!)
6. And I don't want to use a first name that is already in our immediate family - I can be somewhat original
See, I have a lot of rules, but what else do you expect from me? :)

Natalie (my recent favourite)
After that post we made a few changes. The girl names we liked were: Juliet, Penny, and Natalie. And those are the ones Gabe decided he didn;t liek anymore. Mind you, he went through this old list (the green one), and our list of names for Owen if he was a girl (Annette, Paige, Juliet, Evelyn, Helena) and didn; tlike them either. He hasn't come up with any new ones EVER so he is definatley one tough cookie to please!

Um--which saints days are coming up? That's sort of how we picked Theodore. He was due on Saint Theodore's day. I would give you my favourite names, but then I can't use them if we have another! ;)
Matt & I went to Babynames.com for Keira's potential names. We both went through each letter and picked our favorites then vetoed and picked from each other's lists.
You may have to do what I did to Joe - if Gabe can't find a name that you both like before the baby comes then you go with the originals. You're the one giving birth so you should get the final say (unless he REALLY hates them!!) But they were good enough for him a few weeks ago, right? :S

you know i can't help too much with names. everytime i have sent you a long list Gabe has vetoed everything.
One thing i noticed really funny, is my friend's little girl's name is Paige Annette, and I know a couple little Natalie's...sorry I'm not giving any name ideas!!! I'll just let you know if I hear any doubles or triples of names you have! hahaha

Funny I actually sat down and thought of a few for you that sounded nice with Owen and didn't clash with Lanteigne...
BOYS: Ryan, Dylan, Andrew, Brandon, Jonathan, Devon, Grayson, Jackson, Ian, Devon, Alexander... ok, lots ending in "n", but it sounds good!
GIRLS: Autumn, Alison, Taylor, Madison, Ashley, Samantha, Jessica, Krista, Gracie, Amber, Alexis, Alyssa...
They're more classic than original, but I know you like those types. Good luck!!
So let me see if I got this straight: Stacey's idea of a name is Saturninus, Rhiannon is afraid to suggest a name because we might use it, Mandy's advice is "do it yourself you lazy slugs", Kimberly finds no problem with naming a child "Mimi", Muryn, I've never even seen a list of names from you because your last suggestion was "Duke" which disqualifies you from the "helping" catagory, Tammy's been drinking too much of that swiss wine because she suggested Devon twice and Kristen will only help us by leting us know if she's ever heard of a name before......hmmmm lots to ponder here guys. I can see why Amy thinks I'm a tough cookie when it comes to names.

What about Meridith or Macklynn or Rhianna for girls
Boys - Ivan, Bennet or Jonas
Of you just wait till the baby is a couple days old to discover the personality like I did for all my pets names! Or just name him/her George Forman Jr the 12th

I really like the name Julianna and I think that Owen and Ryan sound great together.
